Modular Aseptic Clean Room Facility

Mach-Aire Ltd have designed and installed on site at Tameside General Hospital a new Pharmacy Department Aseptic Clean Room Facility.

The new building has been constructed adjacent to the Pharmacy Department and provides state of the art fully GMP compliant facilities for the dispensing of sterile medical products.

The facility was constructed at Mach-Aire’s factory and delivered in three modular sections onto pre-formed foundations.

The facility included two Grade 'B' isolator rooms each fitted with a Mach-Aire 4-glove positive pressure isolator.

The facility comprises, Outer Support, Change Rooms, Inner Support, CIVAS and TPN Isolator Rooms, all terminal HEPA filtered and air conditioned.

Innovations such as timed transfer hatches, alcohol extract stations and a sophisticated CCTV system combined with a clean room intercom system allow for good staff working conditions with a high level of supervision and security for the staff.

Negative Pressure Nitrogen Isolator

A two glove negative pressure nitrogen isolator has been designed and manufactured by Mach-Aire Ltd for line process work where medicinal products are sprayed onto medical devices.

Product automatically enters and exits the nitrogen filled main chamber via the oxygen to nitrogen purge HEPA filtered transfer chambers.

Powered vertical sliding doors are manually foot operated when the respective environmental levels are achieved. All pneumatic seals are compatible with chloroform and ethanol and all sliding doors are light guard safety protected for both product and operator.

A Siemens PLC system controls all isolator functions complete with track screen, HMI, - Human Modular Interface.

Main chamber double inline exhaust HEPA cells and single supply HEPA are all safe change design.

Other chamber sizes and glove options are available.

HEPA Filtered Clean Room Drying Cabinet

Mach-Aire Ltd has designed and manufactured multi-drawer programmable drying cabinets for a multi-national Medical Device company.

Two sizes of cabinets are currently available, 3 drawer and 6 drawer units and are used to dry vascular grafts and other similar medical components.

Forcer HEPA filtered air flows across the full surface of each drawer maintained at pre-selected temperature up to a maximum of 80°C.

Each drawer once loaded is 'program locked' for 1 hour duration and is monitored via digital count down timers, sequence coloured lamps and re-open alarms and switches. Override re-set drawer switches, high temperature alarms and E-stops are also included.

Each of the two sizes of cabinets are mobile and manufactured from double skinned 316L stainless steel the thermal insulation, ensuring an external temperature of 35°C when the cabinet is operating at its maximum temperature.
